This page holds video coverage of A Dash of Panache. Included
below is:

Overview: Fox 40 News at 11am invited the owners of A
Dash of Panache (Scott & Karen Alvord) to demonstrate a High Tea during their
Cooking segment (in the Fox 40 Cafe), hosted by Paul Robins. There was a teaser
spot followed by a minute quick overview of the business and partial preparation
of our Egg Salad with Dill. Then another teaser spot that was supposed to be
followed by a 3-minute segment where we'd demo our famous Chicken Salad Sandwich
w/Slivered Almonds and Sliced Grapes as well as a dessert plate...BUT one of the
Live News segements went overtime and we got cut to 90 seconds. However, Paul
made up for it by focusing more on our business instead of the food demo.
Below is the video clip and we've also included some
photos.

This photo shows Scott and Karen
with the Fox 40 Live logo and Fox 40 Cafe screens in the background. They
were just starting the prep work (about 30 minutes before the first Live
teaser segment). Click to enlarge the photos. |

The left photo shows the demo
counter alone and the right photo is an overhead shot of some of the
ingredients that were going to be used for the Gourmet Chicken Salad with
Slivered Almonds and Sliced Grapes. This was taken between the two primary
live segments and about 10 minutes before the first Live teaser segment.

Scott took this left photo while
standing back off the stage to show the facade of the demo kitchen (and
Karen). The sink in the background has no plumbing. The opening to the right
goes right into the actual Anchor Stage where the weather and primary news
is delivered. The right photo is a cute shot of Karen preparing for the
petite sandwich demonstration...of which, hardly anything was actually on
the air. Oh well, there was still a lot of promotion of the tea parlor.
