Fine Print

This page contains all of the "fine print" that everyone is expected to read word-for-word and get clarification for any areas in which you are unsure. This might be easier if you are a lawyer or if you just can't find anything good to watch on T.V. The contents of this page are subject to change without notice (like who are we going to notify anyway?). Also, our internal policies might be more up-to-date than this website might reflect. How's that for covering our buns? Ignorance is not an excuse when this material is easy to get to.

Privacy Policy

We're not sure what to put in this section, exactly so we'll wander around a little.

We are PCI compliant, meaning we've passed stringent criteria on how we handle your credit/debit cards. Yes, our employees have access to your credit card information...how else are they to process it at the register? We try hard to keep your credit card information private and we've never had a breach in our process so far (knock on wood).

This paragraph is here to take up space. We'll consider typing more here in the future.

Photo/Video Image Release

We take a LOT of photos and video. Photos and video of birthday parties, showers, Ladies Night Out, summer camp classes, and special events (Mother's Day High Tea, Holiday High Tea, Vintage Teas, celebrations, meetings, etc.). UNLESS YOU TELL US OTHERWISE, we will assume that it's absolutely okay with you if we use your photo/video for our own purposes (our website, Facebook, advertising materials, emails, etc.). We will always try to use appealing photos/video and will try to avoid using photos/video of you dancing on our table tops.

For those who are hosting birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers, or any other event in which we take photos or video, we expect YOU to notify your guests about our image release in case there is a concern. There is a clause in our contract with you covering this situation.

If we do not hear that there is a problem or concern with us using all images (photo/video) of you or your group, we will assume it's okay to us them as desired. So you should remember to smile for the camera!

Private Mailing List

Our Private Mailing List is just that, private. You are allowed to "opt out" of the mailing list at any time.

We use an outside resource (tool) to create and distribute our email newsletters and they maintain a database of our mailing list (whatever information you've supplied to us) which includes your email and might include your name, address, and phone number(s). We do not believe this external company uses your information for any purpose other than to hold it for our own use.

We use your contact information for our own purposes only and we do not plan to sell it or provide it to any external company for any use that is not our use. One example in which we might provide this information for OUR use is to hire an external company to send marketing material, etc. to you on our behalf (we haven't done this yet but we reserve the right to do so).

Important Information for Groupon Customers

If you were one of the people who bought the $10 Groupon in Aug 2011, here is some important information about redeeming them.

Expired Groupons

If you did NOT redeem it before the December 15, 2011 expiration date, you need to be aware of the following important information:

  • The Groupon you purchased was through the Groupon company, not through A Dash of Panache. They designed the ad, sold the discounts, took your payment, and sent us the database of serial numbers so we can track them. If you have a problem with what they did, you need to take it up with them. We can't replace lost Groupons or give refunds (you'll have to talk to Groupon about that). Our deal was to provide a free tea sitting as long as reservations were made for dates on or before Dec 15th.
  • The deal expired December 15, 2011. That was the deal we made with the Groupon company and we are sticking to it. We lose money on each Groupon and we are completely okay with this "loss leader" for the period of time we budgeted for (until Dec 15) but we cannot continue to honor the free sittings beyond that date because of our budgeting. However...
  • GOOD NEWS! The owners have decided to offer you something special for your expired/unused Groupon. You can make a reservation for a Luncheon Tea OR High Tea and use the Groupon as a $10 discount off that sitting! True, it's not as good as $10 for a "free" Luncheon Tea sitting, but at least the $10 you spent can be applied towards the full price of a Luncheon Tea sitting ($18.95 before tax) or High Tea ($22.95 before tax). Remember that we are not obligated to honor "the deal" as listed on the Groupon after the expiration date (12/15/11) but we will honor the $10 you spent towards the Groupon and apply that $10 towards a Luncheon Tea or High Tea sitting!
    Rules apply:
    • You can use any number of Groupons for your sitting but no more than 1 Groupon $10 discount per person. If you have a reservation for 2 people, you cannot use 3 Groupons. If you have a reservation for 10 people, you can use up to 10 Groupons. Yes, you can definitely have more people than Groupons too!
    • These discounts cannot be combined with any other discounts.
    • Reservations are required. If you want a weekend, or a specific date, PLEASE don't wait this time!
    • You must notify us that you're bringing the Groupon when you make the reservation. It significantly helps us in preparing your bill. It will NOT affect whether or not you are given priority over non-Groupon guests--we love all of you the same!
    • You must bring it with you (or write down the serial number, or show us on your electronic device) so we can mark it off our database to ensure it hasn't been used before and can't be used again. If it's already used then no discount, no exceptions.
    • They can ONLY be applied towards a Luncheon Tea or a High Tea sitting, NOT a Light Luncheon Tea or our front Cafe or our Gift Shop. And NO, we will not give you money in exchange for it! We've had some pretty demanding and unreasonable people come with all kinds of strange expectations and we want to be clear that it's our right to decide what you can use it for, not yours. It's expired, remember?
    • We are planning to honor these Groupon discounts as stated above for the first part of 2012. We might but we can't guarantee what we'll do after that so don't delay this time! (smile)
